I began Pandora’s BoxX in September 2018 by contacting artists that I knew personally, then women those artists knew and the process continues to grow-creating an energy and a depth of subject matter I could have never anticipated. I have covered eight generations of women —from established artists to women who are just starting out on their practices. The project addresses the gender imbalance of women in the arts, while acknowledging and celebrating the growing representation of women artists today. It’s an idea that encompasses community engagement and an ongoing dialogue about art, ideas and social change.
It has been, and continues to be, an incredible experience and I hope you’ll take a look.
